Not Worth a Fig,which was shot in Mardin, is the first feature film of Selda Çiçek.
Four years has been spent on scripting of this film, about two months into pre-production, and 21 days of shoot. First release of film will be in November 2009.
The Director puts on a "play"
Certainly, there is no "pure" reality of character cognition. But, what matters for us is the way of our living or substantiation with our own character in directly communications between people. This "cognition" is useful but it is not early fundamental of philosophy and science; it is not a guide neither we enlightening in recognition of mind nor not to be discovered.
Platon's "cave" metaphor
Platon tells the famous "cave" metaphor in his own work named "The State". According to this metaphor, reality consists the shadows for someone who had lived watching the shadows of outside people, inside a cave. "Human's eye blurs in two manners because of two opposite reasons.”
